Our Mission:
To adopt an integrated approach that includes multiple layers of production activities as a way of establishing sustainable livelihood for rural communities, including social, cultural, and economic empowerment of the desperately poor and marginalised people in Sierra Leone.
Mbetoka Foundation
The Mbetoka foundation is a charitable organisation that focuses on rural development projects in Sierra Leone. It embarks on poverty aleviation and wealth creation programs alongside food production as a way to meet most of its rural objectives.
The foundation intends to move desperately poor and needy communities from the life of dependence on relief handouts to the position of self-reliance and food security. With this in mind, the foundation engages rural communities to conduct multiple circles of different projects in stress-free environments in order to obtain enough capital to meet household needs.
For effective and sustainable rural development options, the Mbetoka foundation works with and support Community Based Organisations in Sierra Leone. Please follow the projects link for the programs that we conduct.
One such organization is the Mormakwe project. The Mormakwe project in Eastern Sierra Leone adopts an integrated approach where multiple layers of Community development programs are conducted concorrently
